I have about 4 books that I had started at some point last year that I would like to finish before my birthday… if I can.
I think the first of the four that I started reading was "Becoming Alien" by Rebecca Ore. I might be on chapter 3. They seem like long chapters and the book is written in first person. It's an okay story. Might be better if I could just get past the writing style and enjoy the story.
When I thought I was getting bored with that story, I started "Lord Foul's Bane" by Stephen R Donaldson. I might have read a couple of chapters and seemed really interested in it, but then I ran into a review that contained spoilers (without a warning). So, now I have to wait a bit before returning to this story.
Next was "The Betrayed Series" by Carolyn McCray. I am about 20% through it. Not sure why I started it, as the synopsis wouldn't have caught my attention otherwise, but I like it. I probably would've been done by now, but then I keep getting distracted.
The latest book I started was by accident. I thought I was opening the previous story, but opened "Dark Space Trilogy" by Jasper T Scott instead. I like this story and am about 12% through it. I haven't read it in a month, but I hope to get back into it. Accordiong to Goodreads, it has the most pages.
Anyway, I told myself that I can't start a new book until at least two of these are finished. I hope it doesn't take me forever. |
