The Scale Must Be Wrong... January 6, 2020
I wonder how I'm at my heaviest ever (at least 5 pounds more than last week/year). My eating hasn't changed, but I'm walking more, so I assumed it would've at least kept me at the same number I've been at for almost 5 years.
I've been thinking about what kind of "diet" to adopt for life. I realize that just saying that I'll watch what I eat and eat healthier isn't being specific. So, I've been looking into a few diets and seeing which ones can be done long-term. These are 3 that I'm thinking about...
-The DASH diet
-The Mediterranean diet
-The Flexitarian diet
My water intake is back up to my normal and I haven't had a diet soda since last year. I told myself that I will wait 5-6 more weeks to have a drink... if I still want any by then. In the meantime, I've been drinking water with a splash of lemon juice and herbal tea if I want something hot.
I might be walking more than last month, but I'm not getting up every hour for 5-10 minutes of activity. I still need to work on that. But as long as it's not snowing heavily, icy or extremely cold, I will go for walks every day.
Anyway, my goal at the moment is to get back to the weight I've been at for years and then inch my way down from there. I can do this!
