|The first week seemed easy...|
January 10, 2017
I forgot to write on Monday. According to the scale, I lost 3 pounds during the first week. And so far, all I've done is cut out most of the "junk" food that I'm used to eating and to be active for at least 5 minutes each hour (even if most of those active minutes is just pacing).
Of course, the first week is usually easy to see the scale go down, but I'm still within the 10 pound range I've been in for years. Once I get below that, then I'll feel like celebrating my weight loss.
I've done really well with a bar of 85% dark chocolate. I broke it into ten squares and ate only one square a day. I find the little square to be satisfying my chocolate cravings. Avoiding the candy/chip aisle has also helped me to stay focused.
I've been been drinking plenty of water and eating healthier… I hope my body gets adjusted soon.
This week, I'll continue to focus on my eating habits and activity level. I still need to get control of my emotional eating/grazing. I hope by next week, I'll be ready to introduce a new challenge.
