|First Day... again|
January 1, 2017
Today has been better than expected.
First, I had Tracy do my measurements. I think some of the measurements might've been done wrong (based on major differences between the last time I did them and now), but of the ones that were done right, it's sad to see that I've gained a few inches since the last time I had entered them into SP.
Then I wrote down five daily goals for this week. A few of them are more serious than others, but I figured I could start with five and see how the week goes. Here are my goals for this week…
-No store-bought sweets
-Drink at least 50oz of water.
-Move more, sit less: 5/55 minutes
-Write at least 1 journal entry/RPG post a day
As for food, I've been mostly good. I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, sandwich and salad for lunch, an apple, and some pb&j for a snack. We plan to make homemade soup for dinner tonight. And then maybe I could have a small square of dark chocolate after dinner.
I've had a cup of orange spice tea (unsweetened) and am currently working on my third 14oz glass of water. I'll probably have at least one more glass of water before bed. I'm happy with my water intake.
I wasn't as active as I'd like for the first day. Pacing in the apartment in an attempt to reach 5,000 steps is getting old. And trying to stand/move more is proving to be more difficult than expected. I'm not always moving around for the full 5 minutes each hour. I seem to aim for a certain number of steps and once I reach that, I feel content to sit again. So, I'll have to find other things to keep me moving each hour.
I didn't do much for the clean/declutter/organize goal today. I've still got time, so maybe I'll attempt something.
Anyway, tomorrow is my first official weigh-in to find my starting weight for 2017. I'm hoping to lose at least 5 pounds in January and at least 75 pounds by the end of the year. I'll be content with those numbers.
