It's been a busy two days. The end of the semester is creeping up on me. I have two big projects due soon and either two or three midterms coming up. I'm actually not really stressed. Just very busy.

I went on a the Wednesday walk with the people from my residence again. I mostly just ended up talking to A, though. I didn't intend for that to be the case, it just was. We talked about home. She's really excited about going back to Bulgaria, which made me feel better about being ready to go back to the US.

I feel a little guilty for wanting to be back in the US already, but I miss it. I miss my friends and family. I miss the comfort and familiarity of the area. I also hate to admit it, but I miss the relative lack of covid restrictions. Ireland has been in max lockdown since I got here, and dealing with it for this long wears on a person.

I understand the reasoning behind the lockdown, so I'm not going to complain about it too much, but dealing with it for this long just isn't easy.

And I've loved my time in Ireland. I've loved living in and learning about a new country, and this semester has taught me a lot about myself as well, but I'm ready to be home.

I signed up for a residence beer pong tournament. Not sure who exactly is organizing it or how it's going to work, but it sounds fun.

I've started reading a new book, "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. I actually ordered it because I saw that it was the favorite book of Billy Woods, one of my favorite rappers. I've read "The Road" before and I absolutely loved it, so I'm expecting to enjoy this book as well. I love the way McCarthy writes.
