Here are a few thoughts on my story so far…

-Most of my story is dialogue with some action and very little description. I'm pretty good at picturing a scene in my mind, but only a fraction of it will reach my hands. Writing dialogue is easier, but not always great to read. And action is somewhere in the middle. I need to find a way to add more description and flesh out my story, but it's very difficult.

-I like the story idea, but I don't like how I'm writing the story. I had pictured the main character in a tavern telling her story and having the other characters interrupt her to ask questions or argue with her, but it's not coming out right.

-I also forgot to research something for a major part in my story. I think my options for now are: skip over this huge space for now; pretend I know what I'm talking about for the zero draft; or spend over a day researching what I need and then play catch up with my word count. Another thought, if I do a rewrite on this, is that my main character wasn't involved with this major part in the story and only hears about it from others. I don't know.

-At least my story is still moving somewhat. I wrote 929 words today in 10 hours, after struggling to write 500 of those words in 8 hours. But, I have to stop for the night. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

-I have written a total of 6851 words so far, out of my current goal of 25,000. I am just over a day ahead of schedule, but I'm not going to rest. I know that if I miss a day, I risk losing interest in my story and may stop writing it.

Anyway, I'm off to bed.
